There used to be a small, sophisticated train station for guests who wanted to go to the Boxberg for horse racing. They were driven up in carriages.

A three-part vault bridge was created on which a concrete tub for the water of the canal was placed.
The main building materials used were limestone from a quarry near Teutleben and seeberg sandstone for filigree components.
Originally, the single-track management was planned.
A block post was built next to the bridge and, in 1910, the Leinacanal train station (as it was spelled at the time).
