Tips
Lucca is certainly one of the many worthwhile cities in Tuscany.
Surrounded by the well-preserved city ring is a beautiful and lively old town.
The city ring itself (and also the high lookout tower) is overgrown with trees and can be complete and cycled.
Well worth a visit is the Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, where houses were built on the remains of the former Roman amphitheater.
