Great place with the quirky rocks, cool rock mounted trig point and the sombre wreckage of an American strata fortress nearby. Good views and a good rest spot...if you have the weather.

Nice area to get close to the animals, some can be skittish, if with dogs keep on a short lead.

Another delightful sight just down from the viaduct. While it may like a waterfall, it's actually a weir. A great spot to have lunch and get a few photos. I hear there's good fishing around the area on the Wye.

Standing at 1,765 feet (538 m) tall, Back Tor is the highest point on Derwent Edge. As such, you are afforded breathtaking views over the Peak District from this spot. There are some interesting rock formations to explore here, too.

It's a relatively easy climb to the top. Not too far from Luds Church either. Check out the icrecream van on roach road near the squeeze stile wall if you fancy a hot beverage.
