Barn Hill Lough
Hiking Highlight
Stopped here on our walk for a rest and to forage some elderflower. It was idyllically quiet apart for the occasional interuption dogs looking to cool off in the water.

Dartrey Forest

Great forest trails through the old Dartrey Estate and the park's lakes. collecting the waters of the Dromore river. The Park is managed forest and so some trails might be closed for forestry work.

In 1950, the Dawson family stole their estate to be used for Forestry. You may be lucky to see deer grazing by the Lough which looks out towards Black Island here, an excellent picnic spot.
