The Casa de los Pisa is a mansion built in the 16th century by Juan Rodríguez de Pisa, the first of the Pisa to arrive in Granada, back in 1504. This was a rich Jewish-convert merchant, born in Almagro who showed off as soon as he arrived to Granada high positions in the municipal government. Juan Rodríguez de Pisa was a twenty-four knight, member of the Council of His Majesty, Oidor of the Chancery and Procurator in Cortes.

Vandring

In this house of a rich family from Grananda San Juan de Dios lived the last days of his life. He died of pneumonia, which he had contracted while rescuing a small child.
The house is owned by the "Order of Hospitality" or Brothers of Mercy and houses the archive and a museum about John of God.
We had a very personal guide in English through a young man working in the Brothers' Archives.
