We’re Trash Free Trails and our mission is simple: to (re)connect people with nature through the simple yet meaningful act of removing single-use pollution from wild places. We encourage and empower each other to DO IT OURSELVES (DIO). We can all make a positive difference each time we ride, run or roam by removing and reporting the trash that we see.

Our awe-inspiring Volunteer Ambassador team are the heart and soul of our organisation. Without them, we couldn’t, shouldn’t and wouldn’t exist. A community of runners, riders and roamers, just like you, the A-TEAM are a committed team of volunteers who donate their time and effort to represent Trash Free Trails and support our mission across all our programmes, bringing their passion for making a positive impact to their local trails and communities. They share your insights from your trails and wild places with us, helping to co-create our programmes and projects.

The A-TEAM are a one-stop shop for inspiration, insight and community. For this Collection, we asked members of our A-TEAM to reveal their favourite hikes, runs, climbs and rides in the UK. From the challenge of Skye’s Black Cuillin and the wilderness of the Cairngorms, to the beautiful North York Moors coast and the mountains of North Wales, the variety in these adventures is as rich as it is inspiring.

These routes will hopefully motivate you to take on some Purposeful Adventures of your own. Through Purposeful Adventure, we're inviting you to add something extra, something that gives back in simple but meaningful ways. From challenging yourself to a new activity, to choosing to travel via public transport, to connecting with nature through mindfulness, there's heaps of ways to bring something that has a positive impact to your adventures.

We want you to undertake hands-on action that gives back: to the places you visit, the people you meet, and to yourself too.
