It's the end of the day – finally and Cologne has countless possibilities for you to leave everyday life behind on a relaxed ride. Even within the city limits, you’ll find great routes without too much traffic. You'll quickly forget that you're in a metropolis with millions of inhabitants as you speed along smooth asphalt.
Follow the Rhine south or north, explore the idyllic Bergisches Land in the east or discover refreshing swimming lakes in the west. No matter which direction you take, all Tours promise to give you a completely new perspective on the city, its outskirts and the surrounding nature.
In this Collection, I’ve put together six beautiful after-work Tours around this cathedral city. The rides are between 30 and 68 kilometres (18.6 and 42 mi) long and are easily accessible from anywhere in Cologne. Most of the Tours are flat aside from the Bergisch region which has a few climbs and thrilling descents. If the ride is too long for the end of the day, just make a weekend trip out of it.

The southwest round is a whopping 44 kilometers long and leads from Sülz via Berrenrath to Gymnich and then back via Hürth. Smoothly tarred, car-free routes make your racing bike heart beat faster.

The Leverkusen Ost round takes you along the Balkan route to Bergisches Land and back through the Dhünnaue via Odenthal. At 68 kilometers, it's a bit longer for after work, and as you may have guessed, there are also a few meters of altitude awaiting you in the Bergisches Land.
