It's the end of the day – finally and Cologne has countless possibilities for you to leave everyday life behind on a relaxed ride. Even within the city limits, you’ll find great routes without too much traffic. You'll quickly forget that you're in a metropolis with millions of inhabitants as you speed along smooth asphalt.
Follow the Rhine south or north, explore the idyllic Bergisches Land in the east or discover refreshing swimming lakes in the west. No matter which direction you take, all Tours promise to give you a completely new perspective on the city, its outskirts and the surrounding nature.
In this Collection, I’ve put together six beautiful after-work Tours around this cathedral city. The rides are between 30 and 68 kilometres (18.6 and 42 mi) long and are easily accessible from anywhere in Cologne. Most of the Tours are flat aside from the Bergisch region which has a few climbs and thrilling descents. If the ride is too long for the end of the day, just make a weekend trip out of it.
Is your chain oiled, your tyres pumped and your helmet on? Have fun riding!

The wonderful banks of the Rhine await you on the Northwest Circuit, which becomes more and more beautiful as you head out of town. There are no vertical meters this time - so you can shoot straight and easy.

The Cologne South after-work tour starts just behind Chlodwigplatz and first takes you along the Rhine for a while and then back to the city via Kalscheuren. At 32 kilometers, it is relatively short and therefore more of a pleasure tour.
The first 15 kilometers always lead you along the Rhine, past Rodenkirchen…
Are you ready for the south-east lap of 60 kilometers, past the Rhine, the airport and the Wahner Heide? It starts directly at the Severinsbrücke and first relaxes along the Rhine.
After about ten kilometers you turn off the water and drive on small roads through the fields around Zündorf, where you have…
The Leverkusen Ost round takes you along the Balkan route to Bergisches Land and back through the Dhünnaue via Odenthal. At 68 kilometers, it's a bit longer for after work, and as you may have guessed, there are also a few meters of altitude awaiting you in the Bergisches Land.
You can start on the left…
