E-bikes are a great way to explore further. With a little electric help, you can comfortably take on hills and long distances that would previously have made your legs buckle. To give you a taste, Halfords is launching an e-bike trial day. You can collect an e-bike in-store and test it out for six hours. The trial is free of charge, just pay a deposit which you get back when you return your bike. The 10 Tours in this Collection all start from a participating Halfords store so you can pick up your e-bike and get exploring. Each ride is designed to give you a full six hours of adventure so you can fully experience the thrill of e-bikes and enjoy discovering historical sites or stopping for an ice cream along the way.
The rides take you through spectacular scenery and centuries of history. You explore port towns such as Dundee, Aberdeen and Stockton-on-Tees as well as the winding cobbled streets of Durham and Edinburgh. Castles, churches, ruined priories and regal country estates all lie en route.
Outside of the towns and cities, the landscapes are green and wild. You’ll have the chance to watch a huge array of wildlife as you ride through varied habitats such as wetlands, forests, sand dunes, hills and river valleys.
You can choose from a selection of e-bikes, from hybrid to city bikes and e-MTBs at Halfords. Check the Tour terrain before setting off as some routes are better suited to mountain bikes.
