This Collection takes you back to my hometown, back to my roots in Breda in the Netherlands. I’ve lived in this city for 18 years, but only started to explore by bike a few years ago. These Tours bring together the most beautiful places around Breda – they’re my favourite routes for good reason.
Around Breda, there’s a great network of bike paths ranging from smooth tarmac to hard-packed gravel and quiet car-free lanes. You ride through spectacular surroundings on winding roads through woodlands and meadows such as the Strijbeekse Heide and the Chaamse Bossen south of Breda. There is a good chance that you will spot some deer, hares and birds of prey along the way, especially early in the morning or just at the end of the day.
I’ve also included gems such as the Slingerdreef (a lovely wide road through the woods), the Bels Lijntje (a cycle path over a former railway line between Tilburg and Turnhout) and the path along the Mark, a beautiful little river that flows through the Markdal.
With its picturesque surroundings, natural beauty and wealth of wildlife, this Collection contains some of my favorite cycling routes around Breda. Will you join me on the ride? 💚
This loop summarizes everything around Breda well and goes along the most beautiful places. From windy polders, straight and winding asphalt roads to cobblestones, estates and forests, even some hard gravel.
The route partly follows the Vincent Van Gogh route, along the river Aa and the Liberation Route…
Yesss! Back to my roots! This is a wonderful ride through the surroundings of Breda on quiet and car-free roads. You drive on the Slingerdreef, a lovely wide road through the woods that turns into a beautiful wide cycle path.
If there were an election, I would nominate this bicycle path as the most beautiful…

Are you joining us over the Belgian border for a fast, tight and varied asphalt loop? The roads are perfect, meandering on back roads through beautiful landscapes, along small streams or straight paths along canals and through protected natural areas.
The roads are so good that this ride is perfect for…
This ride is perfect for when you don't have much time and still want to hop on your bike in between activities. With 30 kilometers it is a nice and easy loop.
Small, but nice and the route offers the necessary variation. Asphalt, cobblestones and dirt roads. So enough to do. And by the way also suitable…
From Breda you can be in Belgium in no time. This loop is a fun way to cross the Belgian border 🇧🇪! There are a few hidden gravel strips along the way, which are also easy to do with a racing bike.
Along the way you cross the Kalmthoutse Heide, which is located exactly on the border of Belgium and the…
You will definitely enjoy this route. It is not long, but nevertheless I advise you to take the time for this. You drive on some beautiful, small and for many unknown paths around Breda with many varied surfaces. From asphalt, gravel to nice forest paths. Also suitable for the racing bike. So what are…
This loop contains many beautiful things that the Breda area has to offer. It is a short route, but takes you along so many beautiful places.
You follow the river Mark to the south on a beautiful cycle path on the edge of Breda. Then a nice road along the same river takes you to the Belgian town of Meer…
We will continue for a while: this route also contains many cycling hotspots that are worth a visit. Cycle through a wide polder landscape, over tight asphalt roads, a few cobblestone strips and through country estates. You also cycle through forest areas. Suitable for road cycling, but be aware that…
This route is slightly different from the others in this Collection. Instead of a loop from Breda, this is a 100-kilometer route that takes you to a completely different part of the Netherlands, namely to Veenendaal on the edge of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug.
If you drive 100 kilometers to the north from…
