Off to Eisleben. A classic route on the way there, although I had to turn back once to Lieskau because of mud holes. If you forget to activate the recording after a break at the Süßen See, then you also fly over it ...
Back was something special because I drove unknown routes from Helfta. The stretch along the Weida was particularly beautiful. At Wansleben it was getting dark and I got a little tangled. But I definitely have to do it again in the light. From Bennstedt to Halle in and then there were too many roots on the way to Lindbusch. So turn right onto the street through Nietleben.

For this year I had decided: to come over 100 km once. As the days are getting shorter and shorter and I always start too late, it was time to tackle this goal. The election a lot on the evening before Bernburg. The Trebnitz and Plötzkau castles were on the way.
Trebnitz is really beautiful. It was acquired in 2001 by a Nazi who wanted to develop it into a right-wing educational establishment. In this respect, one can almost be happy that it is still slumbering. A large coffee wreath has been held every Sunday in the church in Alsleben since September. Get delicious cake and meet a couple of Alsleben residents. Unfortunately, Plötzkau was still closed ("Closed due to illness" as early as the summer).
Enjoyed the sunset on a warm stone bench in front of Bernburg Castle.
The way back under an orange-red sky surrounded by flashing wind turbines. There are still many tractors out and about in the fields (taking advantage of the dry season).

Once around the Weerberliner See. The sea buckthorn smelled seductive. Otherwise classic post-mining landscape. Over to the Schladitzer See and into the water. I love clay pits. A kind of sports resort has emerged on the east side. Back past the airport. Not seeing a plane land. Instead, the crazy steel construction on which the fire brigades practice aircraft extinguishing. At Beuditz past a gate with deer (does anyone know anything about it?). Via Osmünde and the Hufi back to Halle.

For the first time to the Werbeliner and Schladitzer See. So everything from Landsberg was new to me. But first I wanted to explore two landmarks in more detail: the Spitzberg near Landsberg and the quarry lakes on Gützeberg. Both really special places. Then past the SoLaWi to the "Schloß" Reinsdorf, which is still used as a youth home. How many children's homes were there in former manor houses during the GDR era? Discovered an architectural feature in the Catholic parish church of Zwochau and accidentally closed my app shortly afterwards. Therefore continue with part 2

On Wednesday my first big tour in 2021: once in the Geiseltalsee and back. A total of 80 km. After 10 km, however, I had to restart the app. In addition to the circumnavigation, I had two other goals: from Merseburg along streams to the lake and completely driven on the large peninsula.
On the way there drove a lot of asphalt. First stop at the Niederklobikau church ruins. The peninsula is really wildly romantic. We haven't seen so many butterflies and dragonflies in a long time. Bathed there for the first time. Then continue on the bank. Bathed again between Müelte and Braunsbedra. twice the wheel lifted over a ventral run and then near the hostage back to Merseburg. Dinner with deer in the wildlife park and back to Halle via the Saaleradweg.

Actually I wanted to take a trip to Imbiss & Cafe Korowka (it's open again this year). Then it became an adventure tour with many dead ends and unknown paths. Probably drove all possible ways on the Osendorf dump. Interesting: all birches have died (drought?) And the robinia are taking over the dump. Since they have not yet driven out (May was too cold), the forest above looks like dead. Unfortunately, the path ended on private property, so I had to go back.
Then to the Elsteraue: so much green! Suddenly I was standing in front of a site fence. If you look at Koomot with a magnifying glass, you will also see a stop sign on the way. So back and to Burg. But behind the castle the path is flooded. So I give up and get myself a small pizza.
On the way back we had a look at the former paper mill and had a chat with the residents.

Back from my visit to the Mansfelder Land, the train only went to Röblingen. From there, past the open-cast mine near Amsdorf and through the wild and romantic pond landscape between Wansleben and Teutschenthal. The Granau church ruins for the first time in the beautiful evening light. Finally, a chat at the Peißnitzhaus. Great day.

Mini summer used to visit the Mansfelder Land. Stopover at the salty lake near Langenbogen. Really a gem. Two pheasants rising 5 meters next to me really frightened me. After Röblingen along the railway line on dirt roads and then a lot of gravel up to Holzzelle. That took a lot of strength. But as a reward there was cake ...

Since the cherries are already blooming in the garden, I wanted to visit Kloschwitz and Krosigk. On the way along the Saale the wind blew hard in my face and I stated again that the sections between Salzmünde and Friedburg are not my thing. So in Pfütztahl left into the mountains. The Kloschwitzer Grund is really romantically beautiful. In the end, is the character a sheep or a camel? For the first time I noticed the special pigeon tower. Only some of the cherries were still in bloom. For this I discovered many old fruit tree avenues on the way from Wettin to Krosigk. One was even created anew. A lot of trees have fallen on the west side of the Petersberg (drought or storm damage?). Shortly before the same I discovered that a mother had been lost from the rear wheel. Fascinating that you can still drive on. So it went home towards the full moon.
