Beautiful loop with great views of the Aposelemis reservoir. The gravel sections were sometimes challenging in terms of gradient and surface. However, everything was rideable with 45mm tires.
The tour normally starts and ends at Stelios of Cycling Crete (cyclingcreta.gr) at the Lyttos Hotel complex. The

Was will man mehr? 😊

D_GR 076 Rhön-Gravel Tag 2
2-tägiger Rhön-Gravel mit Torsten
Tag 2 über die Wasserkuppe, Schwarzes Moor, Rotes Moor, Heidelstein ohne Kreuzberg zurück nach Eichenzell.
Übernachtung im Grabenhöfchen. Saubere Zimmer, sehr gutes Essen, Frühstück mit allem was man braucht, alle sehr zuvorkommend.

Another solo 500km journey home from vacation. This time, a slightly more northerly route via Utrecht and Nijmegen, as well as the Upper Middle Rhine Valley from Koblenz along the right bank of the Rhine to Mainz.
In the Netherlands, you should always keep in mind that bridges can be closed and ferries

An impressive tour through Timanfaya National Park. There's a fee to enter the visitor center (see photo with the line of cars) (€22 per person, as of April 25), but it also includes a bus tour of the volcanic landscape, which is otherwise off-limits due to nature conservation regulations.

A beautiful tour, challenging in terms of elevation gain, especially in the first part, with some longer climbs. The descent to Haria and the ascent to the Mirador del Rio are highlights. Unfortunately, access to the Mirador is subject to a fee, even if you just want a coffee at the bar. However, the

The loop has a few special features. The southern view of El Golfo is very easy to reach for cyclists, unlike car drivers, and isn't as crowded as the "traditional" viewpoint.
The forbidden road is officially closed. However, I was tipped off that it's open to cyclists, and I wasn't disappointed, as you

Demanding gravel tour. The altitude meters and percentages are challenging. The surface is in places more suited for MTB, but can also be ridden with a gravel bike with appropriate foresight.
It was very warm that day (Ø31° according to Wahoo), which significantly slowed down the speed. The views along
