This varied bike tour takes you past numerous film locations and locations of the Bergdoktor. If you know the series, all you have to do is open your eyes to grab some very special vacation photos on the side. But of course that is not all that you will get on the road. You start in the center of Oberndorf in Tyrol and take the path up to the Bichlach plateau. Here you can enjoy the first great views of the Wilder Kaiser and the Kitzbüheler Horn while you continue cycling towards Going in front of the wonderful mountain panorama. The place is ideal for a first break. There are places to stop for refreshments, a great ice cream factory and when you visit the schnapps distillery you can even get some souvenirs. Afterwards - at least on warm summer days - a short detour to the Going swimming lake is a good idea.On the way to St. Johann in Tirol you still have various rest stops: We can recommend a break at the Römerhof as well as a stop at the Rummlerhof, which you reach after a beautiful forest on the mountain bike path No. 217. From here you can then take a relaxed ride on paved roads down to St. Johann in Tirol and on via the hamlets of Weitau, Sperten and Eberhartling to the starting point in Oberndorf in Tirol.

This tour takes you from St. Johann in Tirol along the Fieberbrunner Ache to the beautiful Pillersee. From there you drive north to Waidring and past Erpfendorf on the banks of the Großache back to St. Johann in Tirol. On the way you will pass numerous, picturesque farmhouses, impressive natural spectacles and countless photo opportunities.Right at the beginning of the tour, you can take the camera out of your pocket several times. In addition to beautiful mountain farms, the section on the sunny side in the Enterpfarr / Alte Straße area in Fieberbrunn guarantees great postcard motifs. Here you have a great view of the Wilder Kaiser, the Kitzbüheler Horn in the back, the Wildseeloder, the Spielberg and the Leoganger Steinberge. Shortly afterwards the only steep section of the tour is waiting for you: Up to St. Jakob in Haus you have to really pedal once. In front of the parish church in the village you can fill up your drinking bottles at the fountain as a reward. The next refreshment is not long in coming: St. Ulrich am Pillersee and of course the picturesque Pillersee itself are definitely worth a break. Even in midsummer, the lake is rarely warmer than a refreshing 20 degrees - cooling is guaranteed! There are numerous resting places along the lake: jetties, benches, wooden loungers along the way and a small kiosk. If you feel like it, you can actively shape your break with stand-up paddling or a lap with the pedal boat and extend it as you wish.On the way to Waidring you will pass the Öfenschlucht, a natural monument worth seeing. In Waidring itself, a detour to the Waidring bell world is worthwhile. And you shouldn't miss the short detour to the Grießbachklamm just before Erpfendorf. It will definitely not be boring on this round! After so many highlights, you can look forward to the relaxed way back along the Großache to St. Johann in Tirol. Here you can enjoy the beautiful view of the Kitzbüheler Horn again before you can end the day comfortably in the baroque old town.

This tour leads up to the Harschbichl - and back into the valley! You are spoiled for choice in several ways. In which mountain inn do you reward yourself for the long ascent? And which way do you take for the descent? But always one after the other ...As the saying goes: work first, then pleasure! Although the “work” in this case is quite sweaty, it is still really fun: The tour begins with a long uphill from Wiesenschwang up to Harschbichl and offers you great views of the mountains over and over again. If more than 900 meters in altitude are too tough for you, an e-bike is an exciting alternative for this tour. Or you start from St. Johann in Tirol and let the Harschbichl-Bahn take care of the ascent for you. The next decision is waiting for you at the top: Stanglalm, Angerer Alm or would you prefer the Harschbichl mountain inn? You can't do anything wrong here: the break at a lofty height with the finest view is always good. You also have time to make the next important decision when you catch your breath: will you drive back down into the valley via the rapid but relaxed forest path (like the track on this tour) or do you treat yourself to a full load of trail fun on the Harschbichl Trail? If you can't decide - how about this: First you pedal up, treat yourself to a break and then roll back to St. Johann in Tirol. There you casually get on the gondola lift, try out the next alpine hut when you arrive at the top and then button the trail to the front.

The course of this tour is not difficult to explain: From a parking lot near Erpfendorf you reach a forest path, which you always follow in the same direction for the next few kilometers: uphill. Two nice rewards are waiting for you upstairs: You can choose between two cozy alpine huts. Both are run as family businesses and entice you with traditional, regional dishes. If you fancy a little folk entertainment, you can try your luck on the Hubertalm. Here from time to time folk music pieces and tunes from the Huberalm dirndls are performed. A little further, the Angerlalm beckons with a great view of the Steinplatte and the Loferer Steinberge. Back you can fully enjoy the long descent over the gravel road.

This short pleasure tour starts in the center of St. Johann in Tirol and takes you along the Großache towards Kirchdorf and on to Erpfendorf. In between, the river invites you to take short breaks and technology fans will also get their money's worth at the glider airfield. After starting in St. Johann you immediately follow the course of the Großache so that you can continuously enjoy the beautiful view of the river and the mountains in the background. You have a particularly good view of the Kitzbüheler Horn with its striking television tower on the summit, which at 1,996 meters is just under the 2,000 mark. If you fancy another day: The Kitzbüheler Horn is a great destination. There is a climbing forest, the Horn-Gipfel-Höhenweg and of course you can also go hiking or mountain biking. At Erpfendorf you cross the Großache and make a 180-degree turn, which starts the way back. Again you follow the river until the route takes a little swivel to the east just after Kirchdorf. You are now heading through the “Bauernweiler” Mitterndorf, Oberhofen and Reitham towards the St. Johann glider airfield, which gave this round its name. Here you can do a little “planespotting”, and there is also a place to stop for refreshments if you want to strengthen yourself. Along the Murweg and through the center of St. Johann in Tirol you finally come back to the starting point of the tour.

This short tour starts right in the center of St. Johann and its name suggests that you shouldn't forget one thing today: your swimming trunks! Because you will pass several idyllic bathing lakes where you can refresh yourself in good weather. And when it's not so nice, you just enjoy the beautiful nature and the impressive mountain panorama. After the start you follow the Kitzbüheler Ache for a while, past the impressive Egger factory, an international timber company. After that it will be idyllic and calm. You cycle along the Römerweg, past farms, barns and picturesque chapels to Kitzbühel. At the turning point of the tour, you should treat yourself to a short detour to the beautiful city center and if you like, you follow the invitation of numerous street cafes to treat yourself to a refreshment or a snack. But remember: you shouldn't swim with a full stomach! It is only a short distance to the Schwarzsee. The moor lake is one of the warmest bathing lakes in all of Tyrol - nevertheless it is pleasantly refreshing on warm days. In addition, its moor water is said to have a healing effect. If you enjoyed jumping into the cool water: At the Gieringer Weiher a few kilometers further you have the next opportunity to do so. On the way back you then cycle through Oberndorf and over the hamlet of Sperten back to the starting point of the tour.Tip: If you plan to stop for a longer swim, don't forget to pack your sunscreen for afterwards!

The hike to the Griessbachklamm starts at the Griessbachklamm car park, about ten kilometers from the center of St. Johann in Tirol. It is only a few hundred meters from the start of the hike to the entrance of the Griessbachklamm. In the gorge, the rock walls protrude high above you and you can hear the roar of the flowing water through the gorge. Soon you will encounter the first challenge, an approximately 26 meter long suspension bridge that hangs about 4 meters above the water. This is not the only walkway you will encounter this walk. After the second suspension bridge, turn right. After a few meters, the path passes a thunderous waterfall. But a little further you can enjoy the rippling water and the tranquility of the stream. You walk at your leisure further high above the gorge towards the second waterfall. Suddenly the gorge widens and you can relax on the sandbanks by the water. Past the sandbanks you walk along the ever narrowing valley towards the forest. Here you walk about 900 meters to the start of the Jägersteig. The narrow mountain path leads through shady woodland to the Angerlalm and the Huberalm. Shortly before this last hut there is a nice viewpoint on the Huberhöhe. Via the Jägeralm you walk back to Erpfendorf. Be sure to stop by the natural Kneipp spa to cool tired feet.

For today a fairly tough hike is on the program of 12.5 kilometers and 900 vertical meters up and down. You start at the Griesner Alm car park in Kirchdorf. Please note: you have to pay a toll on the way here from St. Johann in Tirol. From the start of your hike, you will immediately gain some vertical meters through the alpine meadows, before ascending further through the deciduous forests at the foot of the rugged cliffs of the Wilder Kaiser. After about three kilometers you arrive at the Stripsenjochhaus at 1,577 meters, a cozy and authentic mountain hut. By the way, you can also spend the night there.
A little further you come to the Tavonarokreuz. Make sure to take some time to enjoy the view here, because it is truly phenomenal.
Another photo opportunity comes at the Frankenländer Nadel, a special and above all photogenic rock formation. The trail then follows the dwarf pine-covered ridge of the Feldberg (1,813 meters), with spectacular views of the Kitzbühel Alps and the Kaiser massif.Take your time and enjoy the beautiful nature, after which you will hike back to the Griesner Alm via the Vordere Ranggenalm and the Hintere Ranggenalm.

This approximately 6.5 kilometer hike with a religious touch starts in the Hinterkaiser district in St. Johann in Tirol at the parking lot in front of the Rummlerhof. First you hike a long way through the green alpine meadows, from where you occasionally have a view of St. Johann in Tyrol. The path ends at the Way of the Cross with the fourteen stations depicting the Passion of Jesus, designed by the artist Horst Pali. This leads to the Maria Blut Hermitage, which has been inhabited and cared for by hermits for 300 years. The path then goes steeply through the forest to the Gmail Chapel on the Niederkaiserkamm. From here you have beautiful views of the Kitzbüheler Horn and the valley from St. Johann to Oberndorf. When you arrive at the ridge, you catch a glimpse of Kirchdorf. The Gmail Chapel is built in beautiful Baroque and Rococo style. The descent is via the Lourdes Grotto, just a five-minute walk from the Gmail Chapel. Here is the statue of Holy Mary, Mother of God on a rock. A pilgrim founded this site on the occasion of his recovery after a pilgrimage to the city of Lourdes in the south of France. The walk continues through the forest to a clearing. Past horse pastures, you will return to the Maria Blut hermitage. From here you take the same path back to the parking lot, but not before you have made a stopover at Gasthof Rummlerhof.

Stroll through a devilish creation in Teufelsgasse. This hiking destination is a real insider tip that makes the hearts of children and adults beat faster. The story goes that the devil personally carved the maze into the rock to lead sinful people and their souls astray. Many of his poor victims have carved their names on the soft rock faces to tell relatives and friends of their fate. Legend has it that the observant hiker can still hear the lost souls in Teufelsgasse softly wailing and crying. The start of the hike is at the (paid) parking lot Hinterberg in Gasteig near Kirchdorf. The Teufelsgasse is already indicated here. At the start of the hike, a 40-minute climb over a forest road and past farms awaits you before reaching the Teufelsgasse. Can you manage not to get lost?Once back on the path you follow the route through the sunny meadows with beautiful views to the Prostalm. Follow the forest road past Marcheralm back to Hinterberg.
