Please be aware that just 4km after the start this track crosses the Guadiana Menor River, what depending on its flow it may not be possible. In case this happens just take the tarmac way parallel to the Fardes River until the road

THIS ROUTE IS ONLY RIDEABLE IN SUMMER DUE TO THE SNOWFIELDS.



The Pico Veleta (3.394m) is reachable by the South side starting from the village of Capileira, located at La Alpujarra.

This detour avoids some floodable and clayey areas in the Hoya de Guadix, especially the ramblas between the Ermita de San Torcuato and Torre de Guájar.
