The day started off well. However, after seven kilometers and up to the entrance of the village of Pontasserchio, the path proved particularly unpleasant. Fortunately, the return journey was much more enjoyable.

A magnificent city, renowned for its superb historic ramparts that delight walkers, runners, and cyclists.
Its heritage is remarkable, with an impressive number of churches and monasteries.
Just 650 meters from the city center, on the other side of the railway line, stands a splendid, remarkably well-preserved 4-kilometer aqueduct.
