A charming little village, bustling with preparations for the Christmas holidays. There's a chestnut museum, a lovely walk among the chestnut trees, and several restaurants where you can sample local products. We tried the one closest to the bus stop, and it was excellent. Among other dishes, we had the wood-fired grilled meats. We thoroughly enjoyed them, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Don't hesitate, it's delicious.

If you want to go down in a wicker basket, the route is on a road used by cars and taxis. At the end, which isn't 2km away, but 1400m, the guides will hand you a basket and insist you to give a tip. There are also photographers selling pictures taken along the way, and to top it all off, the descent costs €27 for two people and €35 for three. From the end, you can either take a taxi or walk down to your hotel. Be warned if you're on a tight budget. It's a real rip-off.
