If there's an eclipse ☀️ then we're in. So we drove to one of the best spots on the Alb - the Sternberg.
But without the special glasses, unfortunately, there wasn't much to see of the solar eclipse 🤦
Still, it was a nice round with a finish at Havanna No.5 in Engstigen.

Guide Kuddel called and what did he plan: a cool trail loop high above the Echaz valley.
Ascent Kalkofen, Gießsteintrail, Breitensteintrail, Traifelbergtrails, Burgsteintrail to Pejo 🍺🥩 and finally at night (yes, it's already night at 9:30 PM) the lower part of the Burgsteintrail back.

But beware: Komoot has registered a few more meters of elevation gain - real approx. 600hm

Up through the Arbachtal to the Übersberg, further to the Göllesberg, Holzelfingen, Burgstein and over the Burgsteintrail to Pejo 🍺🥩
Back to Lichtenstein as darkness set in.
It was nice and nothing happened except for a broken spoke.

Over the Kalkofen, quarry, Golfpkatz. Rinnental to the Bärenhöhle. Back via Seitzhütte, Traifelberg, trails to Burgstein, Burgsteintrail to Pejo. EKS with 🍺🥩 and in the twilight back down the lower Burgsteintrail.

Due to Stadtradeln (city cycling) - everyone on EMTB: exception tour guide Kuddel with Bio Gravel 💪🤦
A very asphalt-heavy round but 3 times a year for Stadtradeln, kilometers have to be made to secure 1st place in the municipality of Lichtenstein again in 2026.

Today I did a proper MTB loop again with 80% forest Anteil (paths, trails) and accordingly few km.
But it was still super nice, especially since the weather and the paths were optimal for riding.
