A fantastic ridge hike over hill and dale. In brilliant sunshine, we enjoyed a magnificent view. A steep climb led us downhill to the relaxing Wonneweg trail, which we followed to the mid-station. A fairly challenging hike for us flatlanders.

The Marmot Trail was quite a challenge for us lowlanders. It was narrow and almost entirely rocky, with good hiking boots and poles a must. Highlights included two large scree fields, the view from the Kitzköpfle, and Lake Fuglersee. It took us considerably longer than the stated three hours. But it was worth it!
