I set off from Gemona aimlessly, and the tour unfolded at random: a bit of FVG3, a stretch of the Rogge cycle path, and I arrived at the gates of Udine.
The climb back to Gemona was a mix of asphalt and gravel, taking advantage of the Cormor bridleway, the old FVG1 route, and the provincial roads.

The Alpe Adria was closed for roadworks, forcing me to head back toward Tolmezzo, so on my return I was able to take advantage of the beautiful route back to Gemona on the right bank of the Tagliamento River.
P.S.: Average speeds aren't reliable; I had to manually load this and some previous runs.

But what color is the tagliamento? Gorgeous. My dad was born in San Michele. @flavioman

We follow the FVG1 Alpe Adria route from Colugna to Palma and return via gravel variants to Selvuzzis, where we repeat the outward route. Although simple and requiring due caution on the urban stretch that cuts through Udine from NW to SE, it's always an interesting ride. If the weather cooperates, like today, it's even better.

The Stradone Manin is a quick shot that takes you straight through the fields to the villa of the same name. Spring is in the air, and the return journey is along the same roads and lanes I used to commute ten years ago. So many memories!
