Almost a solid day of sunshine, for a ride to San Gimignano. Scenery was beautiful as expected, with the view of San Gimignano on the approach being the highlight - towers on the horizon!

Most of Strade Bianche Gran Fondo
The good bits at least! It rained in Siena last night, so the gravel was a bit soft, but otherwise rode pretty well. However I was glad I had 40 mm tires. I hit most of the special sections: Monte Sante Marie, Tolfe, MonteAperti. Only one bad Komoot reroute, which took e me through a muddy field. I then took half of that muddy field up Monte Sante Marie. Thanks! I had decided to skip Santa Catarina, which was a good call, since I was exhausted at this point!
