I actually wanted to go to the Red Lake (Laghetto delle Conche). The area around the lake is currently being converted into a landscape park, so the lake can only be reached with specialist staff and an entrance fee. The work on the area looks promising though👍

A beautiful tour—if you're willing to carry your bike for a while. In 2025, however, some of the trails were badly washed out, and in the first third (at least for me) there were too many wild boar tracks (see photo) and smells (no photo). These cute animals can easily knock you off your bike.
