Berliner Großstadtpflanze, die ab und an mal in die Natur muss :)
Today we made a trip to the Garden Kingdom of Dessau-Wörlitz. A worthwhile tour through the large castle park, which is now part of UNESCO. The park was founded by Prince Leopold III. Friedrich Franz von Anhalt Dessau designed from 1765. He was inspired by his travels to England, Italy and France and allowed these cultures to flow into nature and architecture.
There is a lot to discover today!

This tour was the birthday stroll with my dad. After we left behind us through the (corona-related) unfamiliar masses of people at the beginning of Treptower Park, we went with an ice cream in hand, past beautiful early flowering beds, towards Plänterwald.
As soon as we were in the forest, the extreme smell of wild wild garlic rose in our noses - the forest has a thick garlic flag 😊.
A lot seems to be happening in the former Spreepark, let's see what will become of it.
Then we crossed the Spree for the first time with the F11 ferry.
On the other hand, we unfortunately had to walk along the Rummelsburger Landstrasse for a while - almost too loud to talk.
A detour to the Funkhaus site, past the Ostbloc bouldering hall, then along the bay and then back home to the coffee and cake table.

A very nice round in an area that is not yet very overcrowded. East along the two Pätzer lakes it goes through a very beautiful forest area. In between there are always beautiful views of the lakes. There is also a small swamp area to discover.
There is a large gravel pit in the large nature reserve east of the lakes. Fortunately there weren't any noisy motocrossers there today. So we could enjoy our own nature. From above you can see the Tropical Island in the distance
