Hike is short and easy except ascend to Altkoenig, which is very stony difficult and require good fitness. Altkoenig is said to be most difficult to hike, bike summit of Taunus, due to its Stoney belts around. Hiking is at least fine. Biking to top is unimaginable but still many enthu mountain biker

This is classical hike route To Grosse Feldberg (highest peak in Taunus) starting from Oberusel. The route is suitable for family with small kids, the more classic route goes through Fuctanz restaurant little longer (+3km) than this. But we took this little challenging route with small kids. Doable.

Nice hike to Hardtturm and Mammolsheim from Schwalbach. Great with kids. Walking next to Bach is little adventure in winter due to mud
