Last race of the year with fantastic weather and crowd. Almost 60'000 runners started this morning in Staten Island and made our way over the bridge to Brooklyn with amazing views on the NY skyline, As soon as we reached Brooklyn 10'000 of spectators cheered us on. Enthusiast by the atmosphere, I went to fast in the beginning but felt fine for the moment. We headed over to Queens and into Manhattan where even more spectators were lined up. Passing Harlem and crossing the fourth bridge into the Bronx my legs gave out, and I had to slow down. We ran back into Manhattan and into Central Park, I struggled quite a bit the last kilometers and was super excited when I finally saw the finish line. Superhappy with the race given all the injuries of the last weeks and months and exciting to see what comes next.
