The view from Hinterrugg is fantastic. Unfortunately, the way down was less so. There were a lot of rocks and it was very slippery at that point. Next time I would go back from Hinterrugg to the mountain station and from there take the Alp path to the valley station. That would definitely be more relaxing

A wonderful Sunday round trip with lots of beautiful, easy paths. There are fire pits and places to sit on the Heidiwiese, or like I did today, you can just lie down on the meadow. The round trip can also be started at Bad Ragaz train station or at the PP in Maienfeld or in Fläsch.
