Easy to moderate hike through Leksand, around the Limsjön, through beautiful riparian forests and meadows. Towards the end always on Österdalälven and the Siljan lake along.Start of the tour is at Leksands Camp. The beginning is then badly signposted after a short time, because the actual trail has disappeared in a new commercial area. After some searching, we found the path again. From the railway line, the signposting is very good again.
On the Limsjön the path leads through riparian forests. There are three observation towers for bird fans along the route, from which you can enjoy wonderful views.
The path along the river and later on the lake is beautiful.

Very nice tour to the Njupeskäfall, Sweden's highest waterfall and the Fulufjäll. Athletic fitness is required if you are planning to climb the fjord area. Also sturdy footwear and weatherproof clothing.
The way to the waterfall is very well developed, the ascent and further way into the Fjällgebiet goes over scree fields. In case of rain, you should do without, as the way over the lichen-covered then slippery.
Overall, the tour is moderate and definitely worth it.

Beautiful tour around the village Sollerön on the island Sollerö in Siljan Lake and through the forest along the lake. Past lovingly tended farms and houses, across meadows and through forests that are full of blueberries, lingon berries (cranberries) and mushrooms.
Now in September the fruits are ripe and sweet.
The hike is so easy to moderate. Good, waterproof hiking boots are essential, so you do not slip. In the forest there are various wet spots, which one probably does not go through in Sunday shoes or white sneakers. However, many of these wet spots are bridged by wooden bridges.
The path itself is easily recognizable by ocher markings, poles and arrows.
There are some shelters along the way, which provide protection in the rain and at the same time serve as barbecue areas.
