This varied circular hike begins at the idyllically situated Viehweide Restaurant, an excellent starting and finishing point. From here, the trail initially follows narrow paths through sparse forests toward Lorsbacher Kopf.

The trail continues to Kapellenberg – a historic site with traces of Celtic settlement

The hike from Bingen to the Rochus Chapel and further to the Scharlachkopf is a beautiful tour with many sights and magnificent views over the Rhine and Nahe valleys.

We drove to Bingen-Kempten and started from there, but there are plenty of free parking spaces at the train station, especially on Sundays
