The ride from El Capitan to Santa Barbara was a short one that allowed me to get proper rest before the last day of my tour. I stayed in a motel in Carpinteria just outside of Santa Barbara. The small town gave me the feeling of having arrived in Southern California. The palm trees along the beach boulevards

After a longer break in SF, it wasn’t easy to get back
I started with pain again in the morning. My left eye was difficult to keep open. Anyhow after a few miles, the pain would become less and eventually leave my consciousness.
The ride to Oxnard was mainly along the coastline on proper bike paths. I passed strawberry fields, which reminded me of the short
