🇦🇪 UAE | Day 6 | Beautiful Khor Fakkan

After a rest day on day five, the journey continued north. Khor Fakkan was easy to reach using the service roads. The residential neighborhoods were lined with impressive villas, and the city felt remarkably clean, peaceful, and relaxed.

🇦🇪 UAE | Day 3 | From Al Ain to Sohar (🇴🇲 Oman)

Here is a short, fluent English summary that captures the intensity without being too long: Good weather was forecast for an epic ride. After some pleasant roads through service areas and residential districts, the route led into a kilometers-long, bizarre landscape of waste. I rode alongside galloping camels and needed nearly three hours to reach the border. The crossing itself was relaxed on both sides — UAE and Oman. With a massive tailwind, I flew along the highway, but the final 25 kilometers through the desert were intimidating: at times there was no road at all, only soft sand and emptiness. Arriving in Sohar felt like pure relief. An incredibly intense experience.

🇦🇪 UAE | Day 2 by| From Dubai to Cycle Hub to Al Ain (Taxi)

I started in the rain, then my rear brake failed completely. I had to make the necessary decision to turn back toward Dubai, with no safe bicycle route leading directly into the city. Stranded on the edge of a highway, a jogger helped me reach a mall, where I was able to take a taxi to a bike shop. Fortunately, they could help me despite my brake system being quite rare. In the end, the decision to skip Abu Dhabi and continue via Al Ain turned out to be the right one.

🇦🇪 UAE | Day 1 | Meeting the Desert and Mohammed and the Al Qudra Cycle Track and Abdulaziz

After hours of pushing my bike through the desert 🌵 I finally reached the Al Qudra Cycle Track 🚴‍♀️ Flat, endless, windy, silent – simply amazing 👍 I met the incredibly Mohammed 😎, who spontaneously helped me find a place to stay. Thanks to him, I was hosted by Abdulaziz on a very large horse ranch — one of those special UAE moments 🇦🇪 My rear brake has failed and a storm is approaching tomorrow ⛈️ Abu Dhabi remains far beyond the horizon 🌎
