Cardiff to Neath via Aberdare
Good cycle, did it on a folding bike!
First part of Taff trail is brilliant, then Cynon trail is also ok, but looks a bit less travelled.
There is a tiresome couple of miles between Mountain Ash and Aberdare where it leaves the river side and becomes a shared pavement…

Beware, that if you start from the Glyn Neath valley side as I did - there's no mobile signal until you get quite high. Was difficult to find the correct path to start as a result - download before! That's why the start point and timing is incorrect on the map.

Great walk. Quite long, and some bits through forest near the rivers were quite overgrown, but lovely variation from cool forests to dramatic coastal paths

Note that whilst this is not a long walk, it is does have a long steep climb from the first lake up to Petit Chamossaire, which is quite tough and unrelenting. The other note I would make is that the ridge walk between Petit Chamossaire and Chamossaire has steep drops either side and is not for the
