Inspired to "Gump it", I picked a direction and just went with it... a few gravel-ly km's in, an ice cream stop and some deep philosophical chat with a kind old man, and my legs felt invincible! ... then chocolate saved the day!🤣

Yeah, todays inspiration to ride was powered by junk food😅

These are well trodden roads, yes. But there is still a value in just riding without fussing too much about the destination. Familiarity with the road features, intersections, and potholes gave me a sense of zen-like peace on the bike. Dodging potholes never felt so good while in the zone😅🤣

Got semi-lost, as the gravel roads became forested land🤣

A 3t exploro and a machete would be just the thing for this kind of riding

I was reminded that its called the "John Muir Way", not the "John Muir cycle path"😂😅

The best bits were off road... and no road. 🤣

      N+1? hmmm... a 3T Exploro would be nice ;)

yup... Yet another example of pick a direction, then just go with it... a bit of meandering, and just going by interesting places. There's always something to surprise anyone curious enough ^_^

Dear GCN, why pick this? Simply because my riding ethos is: "point-and-go-pedal"👍👍👍

Vague plan, but mainly equipped. With a 3t exploro, I bet the philosophy will hold fast♥️

      Why should this be selected?

Simply because the rides I take are always a mix of road and dirt, and truly about exploration and the sheer joy of adventure. Be it road(usually less than smooth, let's face it... this is the UK), towpath, bridleway, or even just a vague line in the woods... it will be ridden.
