The Rider Brothers (Pedro e João) and João went gravel riding.

Sunday Morning Ride to Landeira 🌦️🚴♂️ After the heavy storms Kristin, Leonardo, and Marta — which caused so much destruction and flooding across Portugal — the weather finally gave us a small but precious break. The strong winds calmed down, the rain eased, and with caution (and respect for what nature had just shown us), the Rider Brothers decided it was time to roll again. Destination: Landeira. As always, we chose secondary roads to avoid traffic, mixed with some gravel sections. Along the way, we had to make a few last-minute decisions due to unexpected accumulated water — adapting the route on the fly, exactly how real adventures go. Even with Komoot well planned, nature always has the final word. Those adjustments turned what was supposed to be a “normal” ride into a solid 84 km journey. Honestly? That was the absolute limit for our two batteries — both on the M20 and M1. Soft terrain drained more power than expected, and even riding carefully (PAS 1–2 for me, PAS 2–3 for my brother), we arrived right on the edge. Pedaling without assistance? Forget it 😅 I tried for the last 2 km… not pleasant at all. Lesson learned ✔️ For close-to-range-limit rides, our third battery is a must and should not have stayed at home. But more than that, we’re reminded once again that e-bike adventures are all about adjusting and adapting — especially to terrain and conditions. When we reached Landeira, halfway through the ride, we stopped for our traditional coffee break and sweet celebration ☕🍰 — a small ritual that always feels well deserved. Today is also Presidential Election day in Portugal, and that was part of the reason we chose such a small place, mostly with an older population. We wanted to see how an election morning feels where life moves slower, surrounded by nature, where community still matters deeply. A long ride, a real test, a meaningful destination — and another Sunday morning well lived. 🇵🇹✨ The road teaches. We just keep listening. — The Rider Brothers #TheRiderBrothers #RidewithEngwe #setubal #portugal

The Rider Brothers - 65km or 5h- doesn’t matter! This was never a competition 😉 One quiet winter morning on two e-bikes. We departed early from Palmela Train Station, under a sky that couldn’t decide what it wanted to be. Heavy clouds above us, light rain teasing us along the way - the kind of weather that usually keeps people indoors… and pushes us to ride 🚴♂️⚡ The route was carefully planned on Komoot, even though this is a destination we already know well. New gravel roads, muddy stretches, silent woods, and endless vineyards reminded us why planning + curiosity always beats routine. Along the way, we were never really alone. Donkeys watching us pass. Horses calmly grazing. Roosters announcing villages before we could see them. And for the first time ever… llamas. Yes, llamas. Curious, calm, and completely unexpected - proof that every ride still holds a “first”. We finally reached Samouco Beach - a place that is always special to us. Quiet, raw, and deeply connected to the Tagus Estuary, where land, river, and sky meet. Last year, this place taught us an inspiring life lesson… but that story deserves its own chapter. Soon. 🌊 As tradition dictates, we stopped for our coffee and something sweet, right next to a traditional Tagus boat. These boats once carried salt, wine, and goods across the estuary - silent witnesses of centuries when the river was Portugal’s main highway. From there, we explored. Views over the white church and buildings of Samouco - white not by chance, but to reflect heat and light in times when summers were harsher and life simpler. A visit to the lighthouse, small but symbolic, reminding us that even short lights can guide long journeys. Riding through the traditional streets of Alcochete, we felt the village come alive. Restaurants preparing for the day, locals chatting, doors opening. Alcochete has always been tied to the river - fishermen, shipbuilders, salt workers - and that soul is still there, if you slow down enough to notice. Time to head back home. A different route, of course. No busy roads. More gravel. More mud. More smiles. Almost 5 hours of riding, talking, laughing - unfazed by the cold and wet Portuguese winter morning. Because comfort isn’t about weather. It’s about rhythm, connection, and sharing the road with someone who rides at the same pace as your thoughts. This wasn’t just a 65 km ride. It was another reminder that Portugal is best discovered slowly - and slightly muddy. The Rider Brothers 🤍 #TheRiderBrothers #RidewithEngwe #engweM20 #engwem1 #samouco

First ride of 2026. First breath of silence. 🌅🚴♂️⚡ Taking advantage of the low tide on this early Sunday morning, The Rider Brothers headed out to absorb the positive energy of the Sado River Natural Estuary, exploring Herdade da Gâmbia and the peaceful Praias do Sado. With the river stretching alongside us, the views were simply breathtaking. The estuary was alive: elegant flamingos, herons and storks gliding over the water, while the banks revealed rich vegetation, reeds, salt marshes and the unique flora that makes this place so special. As always, our route was carefully planned with Komoot, guiding us through amazing paths far from paved roads. Just dirt tracks, silence, and the constant soundtrack of birds - a true connection with Mother Nature, where time slows down and every kilometer is meant to be felt. 70 km of pure joy. No effort, just smooth riding and a long, meaningful conversation between The Rider Brothers - made even better thanks to our intercoms, sharing thoughts, laughs and plans for the year ahead. And of course, the ride wouldn’t be complete without the usual encounters: horses, donkeys, goats, cows and even chickens, always a reminder of how alive and authentic these places are. 2026 has officially begun - and it already feels exactly how we hoped it would. 🌿✨ #TheRiderBrothers #ebike #setubal #sadoriver #portugal #engweM20 #engwem1

The Rider Brothers — From Trails to Tides: Riding into Barreiro 🌿🌊 (Part I) Today, The Rider Brothers set out with a clear idea: explore Barreiro and reach one of its hidden gems — the Moinhos da Alburrica. Departing early from Setúbal / Palmela, we challenged ourselves once again to do what we love most: avoid paved roads completely. What followed was a beautiful 70 km journey through gravel paths, sandy tracks, a bit of mud, and endless riverside views — fully embracing nature from the first pedal stroke to the last. Barreiro welcomed us with its unique character. Once a strong industrial hub, deeply connected to railways, factories, and shipyards, the city has reinvented itself over the years. Today, its riverfront is open, green, and inviting, offering calm paths, wide horizons over the Tagus, and a slower rhythm that feels perfect for riding. The closer we got to the water, the more the landscape softened. Birds everywhere, reflections dancing on the river, and that unmistakable feeling that we were heading somewhere special. And we were. Ahead of us waited a place where history and nature still work side by side. 🚴♂️🌿 #TheRiderBrothers #engwe #RidewithEngwe #engweM20. #engwem1 #ebike #Barreiro #portugal #RiverfrontRide #EbikeAdventure The Rider Brothers. — Moinhos da Alburrica: Where History Meets the River 🏞️⚙️ (Part II) Reaching the Moinhos da Alburrica always feels like stepping into another time. These historic tidal mills date back several centuries and were once essential to the local economy. Powered by the rhythm of the tides, they used the natural rise and fall of the river to grind grain — a brilliant example of how people once worked with nature, not against it. Their location, right on the edge of the estuary, is no coincidence: water, wind, and patience did all the work. Today, the mills stand as silent witnesses to the past, surrounded by wetlands rich in birdlife and framed by wide open skies. It’s a place that invites you to stop, breathe, and imagine the lives that once depended on these walls. Of course, no Rider Brothers ride is complete without our traditional coffee and sweet break, enjoyed this time in Barreiro, before deciding to do something different — a relaxed and tasty stop at a beautifully located Mexican restaurant, proving once again that good rides deserve good food. Different terrains, different flavors, one constant feeling: freedom, curiosity, and the joy of discovering new places together. Some rides are about speed. Others, like this one, are about stories. 🚴♂️⚙️🌊 #TheRiderBrothers #engwe #RidewithEngwe #engweM20. #engwem1 #ebike #Barreiro #MoinhosDaAlburrica #portugal #RiverfrontRide #EbikeAdventure

🎄🚴♂️ A Christmas Ride with Our Youngest Rider 🚴♂️🎄 This afternoon, The Rider Brothers decided to slow things down, embrace the Christmas spirit, and make this ride even more special by taking our youngest rider, Diogo, along for the adventure. We began with the iconic and challenging Estrada da Cobra (Snake Road). Challenging… at least for those poor souls we crossed who were clearly exhausted and missing the magic around them 😅 For us, it was quite the opposite. We had time to breathe, smile, and enjoy every detail — the golden autumn colors, the changing sky, and that unmistakable earthy scent of the season. Even carrying precious cargo, my brother’s Engwe M1 didn’t hesitate for a second. With pedal assist level 5, it climbed smoothly and confidently, while I followed comfortably on PAS level 1. Different settings, same joy — proof once again of how versatile and capable our beloved e-bikes truly are ⚡️💪 Once we reached Palmela, our first stop was in front of the beautiful Nativity scene made of paper pulp — a local tradition that brings warmth and creativity to the village. The smiles, laughs, and playful photos say it all 📸✨ We then rolled through Largo de São João for our traditional coffee & sweet break. But today was different. With Diogo with us, we took extra time to explore the small Christmas stalls, tasting traditional sweets and soaking in the festive atmosphere. And yes… there was even a moment for Moscatel de Setúbal — for the grown-up Rider Brothers only, of course 😉🍷 We also went on a little mission: searching for the traditional figures of Palmela, including the famous Hipólito. These clay figures are deeply rooted in local popular culture and craftsmanship, often representing everyday characters, humor, and rural life. Hipólito became a symbol of Palmela’s popular imagination — expressive, slightly caricatured, and full of personality — reminding us how tradition, art, and storytelling live side by side in this village. As the day slowly faded, we headed back home riding into a soft, golden sunset, hearts full, smiles wide, and one very happy little Rider Brother. Moments like these remind us why we ride. Not for speed. Not for distance. But for connection, memories, and joy 💛🚴♂️✨ 🎄✨ Happy Holidays to everyone! May this season bring you joy, warmth, family moments, and many beautiful rides ahead. See you on the trails! 🚴♂️💛 #TheRiderBrothers #engwe #RidewithEngwe #engwem1 #engweM20 #ebike #christmas #Palmela #portugal

🌄 New Adventure by The Rider Brothers — The Lagartixa Challenge & the Magic of Barris Valley 🚴♂️⚡️ We left home very early in the morning, headlights cutting through the cold air, ready for another unforgettable ride. And right from the start… the legendary Lizard Road (Estrada da Lagartixa) was waiting for us. A steep, technical climb that tests legs, lungs, and courage — but our Engwe M20 and M1 were absolute beasts. Despite the gradient and rough terrain, they delivered power, grip, and confidence all the way up. We felt secure, stable, and fully in control. What a climb. What a start. 💛⚡️ Once we reached the top, the world opened into the calm beauty of Vale dos Barris. We cruised slowly along Estrada dos Barris, with the windmills turning on our right and the rugged Serra dos Gaiteiros rising on our left. Our first photo of the day captured this magical moment — the early morning light and a touch of Christmas spirit already in the air. 🎄✨ From there, the path led us to the serene and historic Capela do Alto das Necessidades, also known as Capela de Alcube — the location of our second picture. This small 18th-century chapel sits tucked between vineyards and hills, built as a place of devotion and protection for the workers and families of the old Alcube estate. Locals say it once served as a spiritual refuge during long agricultural seasons, and it’s known for its quiet charm, whitewashed walls, and its symbolic role as a guardian of the valley. A hidden gem with centuries of stories whispered through the stones. ⛪✨ With hearts full and legs perfectly relaxed (thanks to our M1 and M20), we continued toward Azeitão for our traditional coffee & sweet break. We sat facing the iconic tiles of the José Maria da Fonseca Winery, with the beautiful fountain right in front of us — a perfect frame for a perfect pause. ☕💙 Time to ride again! We rolled toward Quinta do Anjo and then Pinhal Novo, following our usual mix of sandy, muddy, and gravel roads. Along the way we were greeted by friendly animals — from curious horses to calm cows and a few cheeky goats. (As you’ll see in the photos, they were very happy to join our adventure 🐴🐐😂) Nearly 70 km of nature, climbs, discovery, and the unique connection that only the Rider Brothers share. Every pedal stroke, every hill, every view… This is what it’s all about. 💛⚡️🚴♂️🚴♂️ #TheRiderBrothers #engwe #RidewithEngwe #engweM20 #engwem1 #ebike #setubal #Palmela #azeitao #quintadoanjo #pinhalnovo #portugal #nature

🌳🚴♂️ THE RIDER BROTHERS DECIDED TO EXPLORE RIO FRIO & BARROCA DE ALVA ESTATES 🚴♂️🌳 This Sunday, before sunrise had even settled over the fields, The Rider Brothers set out for another memorable adventure — 80 km of history, nature, and pure brotherhood. Our mission: explore two of the most iconic old estates of the region — Rio Frio and Barroca de Alva. ⸻ 🍃 1️⃣ Rio Frio Estate — Horses, Cork, and Royal Memories Our first destination was the legendary Herdade de Rio Frio, one of the most remarkable agricultural estates of Portugal during the 19th and early 20th centuries. Rio Frio is well known for its huge cork oak forests, the historic horse-breeding tradition (especially Lusitano horses). The main building (that you can see in one of our pictures), its an elegant manor house, built by the Counts of Rio Frio. And the famous Palácio de Rio Frio … outstanding! Decorated with enormous tile panels illustrating rural life. Riding through Rio Frio at dawn feels like travelling back in time: endless straight roads, pine trees catching the morning light, and birds guiding us from above. 🌾 2️⃣ Barroca de Alva — Where Tejo Meets Tradition Already inside the Alcochete municipality, we entered Barroca de Alva, another monumental estate linked historically to the dukes and nobles that shaped the region. Known for its role in rice farming, taking advantage of the fertile marshes of the Tejo, and, Its whitewashed farm buildings that look untouched by time. It is a silent, peaceful landscape where agriculture and wildlife coexist. Here the Tejo River ecosystem really shows its richness — marshlands, canals, and birds everywhere. A perfect place for two brothers who prefer gravel paths over paved roads any day. ☕Coffee Break in Atalaia — and a Church Full of History As tradition demands, we stopped for our coffee & sweet break, this time in Atalaia, right in front of the beautiful Igreja da Atalaia. Atalaia Church was built in the 16th century, in Late Gothic and early Manueline style. Known for its imposing stone portal, ribbed vaults, and maritime symbolic motif. Being a pilgrimage point for centuries, connected to the devotion to Our Lady of Atalaia, it is one of the best preserved Manueline churches in the region. Sitting there, enjoying our coffee and traditional sweets with that church as our backdrop, felt like pressing pause on the world. Along the way we were accompanied by a real orchestra of birds — eagles, storks, herons, falcons, blackbirds, and even curious magpies dancing in the sky. And of course… adventure always brings a surprise. This time, a stream crossing the path after the recent rains. The water level? Too high. Our decision? Turn around, laugh, and keep exploring. That’s the Rider Brothers way. 😄 ⚡🚴♂️ Our beloved Engwe M20 and M1 once again turned the ride into pure pleasure: ✔ Comfort on gravel ✔ Great stability ✔ Full confidence for long adventures ✔ Zero back pain And as always, we talked through the entire morning thanks to our Sena PI intercoms — planning future rides, sharing ideas, and enjoying the silence of nature together. Another beautiful chapter added to our Rider Brothers story. More paths explored, more memories created, and still so much ahead. Until the next adventure. 🌤🚴♂️💛 #TheRiderBrothers #engwe #RidewithEngwe #engweM20 #engwem1 #ebike #SenaPi #herdadederiofrio #RioFrio #barrocadealva #atalaia #margemsul #alcochete #portugal #nature

🌾🚴♂️ THE RIDER BROTHERS BREAK A NEW RECORD: 130 KM OF PURE MAGIC 🚴♂️🌾 Yesterday will stay marked as one of the most unforgettable chapters of our Rider Brothers adventures: our longest ride ever — 130 km of landscapes, history, wildlife, and brotherhood, all connected by the rhythm of the Sado Estuary and the soft hum of our beloved Engwe M20 and M1. We left Setúbal early, with the sky still waking up, riding smoothly through the quiet countryside until crossing into the Alentejo. ☕ Aldeia de Palma — Coffee, Tradition & Alentejo Sweetness Our first stop was the peaceful Aldeia de Palma, already carrying that unmistakable Alentejo tranquility. Stone houses, slow mornings, and silence broken only by the birds. With our morning coffee, we treated ourselves to a traditional Alentejo sweet: the Pupia. Made from a simple dough of flour, eggs and olive oil — the heart of Alentejo cuisine — it’s shaped into delicate twists, fried until golden, and lightly dusted with sugar. Rustic, humble, and absolutely perfect fuel for the adventure ahead. 🦆🌿 Riding Through Living Nature — The Rice Fields of Alcácer do Sal As we continued, we entered one of Portugal’s most unique ecosystems: the rice fields of Alcácer do Sal, shimmering with water like mirrors reflecting the sky. We were surrounded by life at every moment — herons, storks, egrets, and countless small birds thriving in this wetland paradise. And then came the highlight: two eagles soaring gracefully in a completely cloudless sky, drawing silent arcs of freedom. 🏰 Alcácer do Sal — A City of Time, Water, and Stories By midday we reached Alcácer do Sal, a place where time slows down. One of Europe’s oldest settlements, its origins go back to the Phoenicians, later becoming a Roman outpost and then an important Moorish city. We climbed to the castle, where the view is simply breathtaking — endless rice paddies, the silver ribbon of the Sado, and a quiet life unfolding below. Locals and photographers stood by the riverbanks, capturing the peaceful beauty of a place that seems suspended outside of time. 🌅 From Alcácer to Tróia — Riding at Dusk Along the Water Channels After lunch (where the Sena PIs had their charging moment too 😄), we continued toward Tróia, riding beside the long agricultural canal that feeds these fertile lands. Dusk painted the landscape in golden and purple tones — that magical Alentejo transition where the light stretches itself just a little longer. 🌊 The Majesty of the Sado River Born in the Serra da Vigia, the Sado River travels over 180 km before meeting the Atlantic between Tróia and Setúbal. It nourishes one of Europe’s richest estuaries, home to rare birds, lush marshlands, and Portugal’s famous resident dolphins. Crossing it by ferry at night felt like a well-deserved ceremonial closing to the day. 🔋 130 Km, 3 Batteries, and Zero Back Pain — Engwe Never Fails We managed the pedal assist carefully throughout — and still, one of our batteries finished the day above half! Our Engwe M20 and M1 proved once again why we trust them: ✔ Comfort all day ✔ Smooth performance on gravel & countryside paths ✔ Zero back pain ✔ Full confidence to push new limits And yes… the M1’s seat continues to be the legendary sofá ambulante 🤣 Two brothers. 130 km of nature, history, and life. A full day of connection, adventure, and gratitude for the beauty of the Sado Estuary. The Rider Brothers roll on — and every ride opens the door to the next great story. 💛🌾🚴♂️🌊

🍂 The Rider Brothers: After the Storm, Into Pegões Velhos 🚴♂️🌦️ After Depressão “Cláudia” swept across Portugal, leaving wet trails and dramatic skies behind, The Rider Brothers decided it was the perfect morning to explore the Pegões Velhos region — carefully, but with that usual spark of curiosity. As always, we ditched the paved roads and followed the compact sandy and gravel paths, all previously studied on Komoot, our trusted navigation partner. What a scenery… Fields painted in deep autumn colors, vineyards turning amber and red, pine and cork forests glowing under a patchy sky, and even a few rainbows appearing as the clouds opened. Nature in full fall mode. 🍁🌈 Our main stop: the charming Igreja Velha de Pegões ⛪ A small, humble, whitewashed rural church, believed to date back to the 17th century, built in simple traditional Portuguese style — thick masonry walls, a modest bell tower, and a front porch that once served as shelter for travelers and farmers. Its architecture tells the story of an agricultural region shaped by estates, vineyards, and long-forgotten rural routes. Quiet, authentic, and full of soul — the kind of place only slow travel can reveal. After soaking in the history, we headed to the Junta de Freguesia for our traditional coffee & sweet break — warm, simple, and perfect as always. ☕🍪 The conversation never stopped (thank you Sena Pi!), and our beloved Engwe M20 and M1 once again proved why they’re the true heroes of every adventure. Smooth, powerful, and comfortable — especially the M1… that seat is basically a sofa on wheels, and we’re not ashamed to say it again. 🤣 In total, 70 km of fun, fresh post-storm air, golden landscapes, and brotherhood. And once home… the sacred ritual: cleaning, drying, and pampering our “motorcycles” — …sorry, we mean e-bikes! 😎🧼 Another chapter written.
