Happy Holidays ! Best wishes from The Rider Brothers!

🎄🚴‍♂️ A Christmas Ride with Our Youngest Rider 🚴‍♂️🎄 This afternoon, The Rider Brothers decided to slow things down, embrace the Christmas spirit, and make this ride even more special by taking our youngest rider, Diogo, along for the adventure. We began with the iconic and challenging Estrada da Cobra (Snake Road). Challenging… at least for those poor souls we crossed who were clearly exhausted and missing the magic around them 😅 For us, it was quite the opposite. We had time to breathe, smile, and enjoy every detail — the golden autumn colors, the changing sky, and that unmistakable earthy scent of the season. Even carrying precious cargo, my brother’s Engwe M1 didn’t hesitate for a second. With pedal assist level 5, it climbed smoothly and confidently, while I followed comfortably on PAS level 1. Different settings, same joy — proof once again of how versatile and capable our beloved e-bikes truly are ⚡️💪 Once we reached Palmela, our first stop was in front of the beautiful Nativity scene made of paper pulp — a local tradition that brings warmth and creativity to the village. The smiles, laughs, and playful photos say it all 📸✨ We then rolled through Largo de São João for our traditional coffee & sweet break. But today was different. With Diogo with us, we took extra time to explore the small Christmas stalls, tasting traditional sweets and soaking in the festive atmosphere. And yes… there was even a moment for Moscatel de Setúbal — for the grown-up Rider Brothers only, of course 😉🍷 We also went on a little mission: searching for the traditional figures of Palmela, including the famous Hipólito. These clay figures are deeply rooted in local popular culture and craftsmanship, often representing everyday characters, humor, and rural life. Hipólito became a symbol of Palmela’s popular imagination — expressive, slightly caricatured, and full of personality — reminding us how tradition, art, and storytelling live side by side in this village. As the day slowly faded, we headed back home riding into a soft, golden sunset, hearts full, smiles wide, and one very happy little Rider Brother. Moments like these remind us why we ride. Not for speed. Not for distance. But for connection, memories, and joy 💛🚴‍♂️✨ 🎄✨ Happy Holidays to everyone! May this season bring you joy, warmth, family moments, and many beautiful rides ahead. See you on the trails! 🚴‍♂️💛 #TheRiderBrothers #engwe #RidewithEngwe #engwem1 #engweM20 #ebike #christmas #Palmela #portugal

🍂 The Rider Brothers: After the Storm, Into Pegões Velhos 🚴‍♂️🌦️ After Depressão “Cláudia” swept across Portugal, leaving wet trails and dramatic skies behind, The Rider Brothers decided it was the perfect morning to explore the Pegões Velhos region — carefully, but with that usual spark of curiosity. As always, we ditched the paved roads and followed the compact sandy and gravel paths, all previously studied on Komoot, our trusted navigation partner. What a scenery… Fields painted in deep autumn colors, vineyards turning amber and red, pine and cork forests glowing under a patchy sky, and even a few rainbows appearing as the clouds opened. Nature in full fall mode. 🍁🌈 Our main stop: the charming Igreja Velha de Pegões ⛪ A small, humble, whitewashed rural church, believed to date back to the 17th century, built in simple traditional Portuguese style — thick masonry walls, a modest bell tower, and a front porch that once served as shelter for travelers and farmers. Its architecture tells the story of an agricultural region shaped by estates, vineyards, and long-forgotten rural routes. Quiet, authentic, and full of soul — the kind of place only slow travel can reveal. After soaking in the history, we headed to the Junta de Freguesia for our traditional coffee & sweet break — warm, simple, and perfect as always. ☕🍪 The conversation never stopped (thank you Sena Pi!), and our beloved Engwe M20 and M1 once again proved why they’re the true heroes of every adventure. Smooth, powerful, and comfortable — especially the M1… that seat is basically a sofa on wheels, and we’re not ashamed to say it again. 🤣 In total, 70 km of fun, fresh post-storm air, golden landscapes, and brotherhood. And once home… the sacred ritual: cleaning, drying, and pampering our “motorcycles” — …sorry, we mean e-bikes! 😎🧼 Another chapter written. More to come. #TheRiderBrothers #RideWithEngwe #EngweM20 #EngweM1 #PegõesVelhos #AfterTheStorm #AutumnRide #CyclingPortugal #GravelRide #NatureColors #SennaPi #Komoot #AdventureCycling #ebike

🌳🚴‍♂️ The Rider Brothers: Discovering Landeira & The Giant Cork Tree of Águas de Moura 🚴‍♂️🌳 Very early this morning, The Rider Brothers set out to explore a brand-new route — from Poceirão to Landeira, deep in the heart of the Vendas Novas Municipality. The goal? To scout new trails for an upcoming long adventure and, of course, to finally visit the legendary largest cork tree in the world, in Águas de Moura. 🌍✨ The morning was calm and fresh as we cruised through vineyards, pine forests, and endless cork oak fields, stopping often to take in the beauty of the countryside. Nature was all around us — birds, cows, sheep, and horses accompanying us in silence as the first light painted the Alentejo landscape. 🌾🐴 Once in Landeira, we paused for our traditional morning coffee and sweet, in a peaceful village café that felt like time had stopped. From there, we rode straight to what became the true highlight of the day — the Sobra da Águas de Moura, also known as The Whistler Tree. 🌿 Curious facts about the Whistler Tree: • It’s over 236 years old, planted around 1783. • Recognized by the Guinness World Records as the largest and most productive cork oak in the world. • Its trunk measures an astonishing 14 meters in circumference, and it’s protected as a national monument. • The name “Whistler Tree” comes from the song of the countless birds that nest among its branches — a true symphony of nature. 🎶 Standing beside it, you can’t help but feel small — it’s not just a tree, it’s a living monument to Portugal’s deep connection with cork and the land itself. 🌳🇵🇹 Our Engwe M20 and M1 once again proved unbeatable — smooth, powerful, and ready for every terrain. And as always, our Sena Pi intercoms kept us connected the whole 70 km, turning the ride into a mix of exploration, laughter, and endless conversation. Quiet trails, new discoveries, and a touch of wonder — that’s what keeps us riding. 🚴‍♂️💚 Hope you love the photos as much as we loved this day! #TheRiderBrothers #EngweM20 #EngweM1 #RideWithEngwe #engwe #ebike #SenaPi #CyclingPortugal #WhistlerTree #SobroDeÁguasDeMoura #Landeira #VendasNovas #CorkOak #Alentejo #TheRiderBrothers

🚴‍♂️✨ The Rider Brothers: Back on the Trails! ✨🚴‍♂️ This morning marked our return to the adventure after a short summer break — and what better way to celebrate than riding through the stunning Herdade da Gâmbia? We set out to explore the maze of paths winding through this unique landscape, always with the Sado River glistening nearby. The ride was a feast for the senses: 🐍 A curious snake crossing the trail, 🐴 Donkeys grazing in the shade, 🪶 Dozens of bird species calling the riverbanks home. And the flora? Just as rich as the fauna — walnut trees, fig trees, cork oaks, wild blackberries ready to be picked, and, of course, vineyards producing the celebrated wine of Herdade da Gâmbia. The weather was simply perfect — warm but fresh enough to keep our pace steady, the early light making every turn of the trail a postcard view. But the real highlight was the reconnection between the Rider Brothers — riding side by side again, stories flowing as easily as the kilometers passed under our wheels. We’re already planning the next rides, and with our trusted Engwe e-bikes, we know each one will be another chapter worth telling. #TheRiderBrothers #engwe #engwem1 #engweM20. #RidewithEngwe #HerdadeDaGâmbia #SadoRiver #EbikeLife #setubal #ebike #portugal. #CyclingPortugal #NatureRide
