Mit ordentlich Gegenwind ging es über Abterode und Germerode zum Naturfreunde Haus auf dem Hohen Meissner. Mittlerweile sind die Wege unterhalb des Meissner Plateau stark zugewachsen. Auch im Wald war es ungewöhnlich kühl. Dafür gab es am Meissnerhaus reichlich Sonne. Zum Abschluss ging es kräfteschonend nach Vellmeden zum Landhotel Hubertus.
