Behind Freisen you can also stay on the Fritz-Wunderlich cycle path. Then a bit through forest/meadows in between. Most of the route is easily passable or asphalt. At Güdesweiler, turn right at the entrance to the town. Don't miss it or you'll have to go back up the mountain.
