About Stoffels
Living in the wider DC area on the Virginia side. Frequent 3-4 close-by parks for regular weekend hikes to keep our dog Cookie and myself in shape. However I do like to venture out to parks further away from time to time to complete bigger hiking rounds.

      Nice hike in the Shenandoah National Park. Weather was great, 17C at the start, 26C at the end. The first half is fairly strenuous, with a steep incline up to the overlook of the main waterfall of the Overall Run. Scenery is ok, nothing too spectacular. It helped that it is autumn and peak foliage. It

      Hike start: 5:30am/20 Celsius Finish: 8:55am/26 Celsius. Fastest time ever, this time using the new route from the new trailhead. 1h 30min up to the summit. Pretty humid. Views were bad, all clouds around. Great fun though.
