Nice round tour with beautiful views. However, neither a pure bike tour nor a real MTB tour!
The first third is a pure bike tour, but then abruptly merges into a longer section with a narrow single trail, which was very muddy and partly overgrown due to the weather.
Hard to manage with a normal road bike!
Then in the third third, wide forest and meadow paths alternate, as well as tarred fields and well-developed bicycle paths.

When we arrive at Lago di Ledro, several parking spaces are already fully occupied by the time we find a place for our car (the parking fee of € 1 / ora is common)
The lido, where our circumnavigation of the lake should begin, is already more than full! (Corona is probably a fairy tale from yesteryear! 😧)
First it goes on the edge of the village of Molina on a small village street that is shared by cars as well as countless cyclists and pedestrians.
As hikers we were always just a disturbing obstacle! After about 1.3 km we left the originally planned hiking route around the lake, quite annoyed. We followed a nice little mountain path above the road, which unfortunately ended on a road again after 3.3 km.
We tried again to find a hiking trail that should lead us further around the lake and found ourselves at “Ledro Land Art”, a former artistic project of the municipality of Ledro.
In the absence of alternatives, we crossed the dry river bed of the Riu Val di Pur, followed an overgrown path, crossed fallen trees and finally reached the district of Pur again. Holiday settlements and campsites alternated up to Pieve, the next town. After extensive sunbathing lawns with bathing facilities, we finally reach a real hiking trail again, which, however, has to be shared in both directions with a large number of cyclists. From Mezzolago the path runs at a certain height above the lake shore. Later the path ends and you only have the option of using a very narrow footpath behind the guardrail of the busy Lungolago lake road.
Sometimes you are even forced to walk on the street. After 13.5 km we reach the starting point of the hike, rather disappointed and annoyed.
Conclusion: A beautiful mountain lake with blue to turquoise shimmering water, surrounded by majestic mountains, which cannot cope with the onslaught of tourists!
Not a place for individualists and not really suitable for a hiking tour 🙁🙁🙁

The starting point of the tour is a municipal free parking lot at the entrance to Manerba del Garda on the right side.
Today the small round with the great view on all sides. ……
The ruins of the Rocca di Manerba offer a wonderful view over Lake Garda as well as the Brescian pre-Alps and the Monte Baldo ridge.
The steep cliffs that drop up to 200 m perpendicular to the lake are simply breathtaking and offer great photo opportunities
After about three kilometers you will reach the "Parco della Rocca", a unique landscape protection area that you can walk through.
Also worth seeing is the church of San Giorgio from the 7th century, which was extensively renovated in the 16th century.

So today it's up to Monte Baldo!
Even the journey from Tignale to Malcesine is a dream! At half past four in the morning we have the Gardesana Occidentale to ourselves. A summer day on Lake Garda wakes up! ☀️👍
It starts shortly before 6:00 a.m. 🥾🥾🥾🥾
This is highly recommended, as you have to climb over 1700m on a distance of almost 12 km, and the upper quarter of the path is unwooded! ☀️☀️☀️
Above all, you have to think about the afternoon when the thermometer shows 34 degrees in the shade and there are still many "kilometers of sun" to cover!
Unfortunately, the way there leads us almost to the middle station of the cable car over tarred roads through the residential area of Malcesine stretching on the slope.
Via farm roads we finally reach hiking trail no. 10 which stretches steeply upwards on a narrow path in serpentines to the tree line.
We don't meet any hikers until shortly before the summit, but this changes suddenly the closer we get to the summit and the mountain station of the cable car 🚠.
It is impressive to watch the paragliders take off and fly from the summit region.
For the descent we choose the absolutely recommendable Ventrarroute from Tratto Spino to Malcesine.
It is a wonderful mountain path with sections partially secured by ropes, and above all a botanical paradise!
(upper quarter of the way back)
From there it goes steeply downhill for many kilometers on the farm roads of the alpine pastures. - absolutely exhausting and almost only in full sun 🌞, then further through high coniferous forest.
It feels like an eternity until you finally reach the middle station.
From here there is still a steep section on a difficult path to conquer.
The last approx. 3 km is a huge challenge, due to rough, rough scree combined with the gradient and the heat. 😰😥
Conclusion: great hike, absolutely worthwhile, gigantic views that make up for the effort of the ascent.
Not recommended for untrained hikers!

Summer on Lake Garda !!!! 🌞👍🌞👍🌞
We found it and today we want to search for the advertised waterfall and the bathing pumps.
Half of the hike is wonderful, a large part of it on narrow paths through shady mixed forest. In summer temperatures, the ascent is sweaty 🥵 and we are looking forward to cooling off at the waterfall.
Unfortunately, the marking leaves a lot to be desired and in the second part of the tour you can not really see the course of the path. The marking is then completely missing when walking downhill and the path is more like a muddy stream after a storm. Rubble and wood make any progress difficult. Without navigation and position control, an absurdity!
To make matters worse, the waterfall and the pools turn out to be more than manageable!
Nevertheless, we will reach civilization again in a reasonable time 😉👍

If the weather is nice and the temperatures are summery, just the right tour for today!
Always slightly uphill on a narrow mule path, you often have brilliant views towards the lake, to Malcesine and to the mountain range of Monte Baldo.
At the highest point of the hike there is a pretty refuge (temporarily managed) and a refuge.
From up here again the finest views!
Most of the way back is also a narrow, sometimes steep path downhill, mostly through a sparse pine forest.
Worthwhile round trip, mostly shaded by light forest, very pleasant in summer, especially due to the constant pleasant breeze. Decent shoes and a certain surefootedness are required.
