We had Covid related restrictions in place that did not allow to go beyond the city district borders. Out of this the idea was born to complete the 180km on the 400m of cobbled road that go around the main square of my hometown, Budweis in South Bohemia, Czechia.

I quite often leave things for the last minute, which is a great guarantee for bad route preparation, nasty weather, and other surprises. After falling short of my own expectations in the first attempt at the 180km (did the 180, but not as planned entirely on cobbles), and the announced deadline extension
