A Circuit of Whitbarrow Hill

A beautiful walk through. bluebell woods up to Lord’s Seat (251m). Dozens of butterflies seen. The summit was a limestone pavement with a STEEP descent through the woods to the valley below. Sadly the ‘Hikers. Rest’ in Beck Head was closed. 😞👎

A linear walk from Ambleside to Grasmere

A lovely high walk from A to G along the ‘high’ route with Don and Jill. Great to be walking with them again. Tea and scones in Grasmere then a No 555 back to Ambleside. A great walk. 👍👌😀☀️

Boston Group walk from Stoke Rochford

Led by Patrick, 21 walkers enjoyed the Spring sunshine, blustery winds and heavy hail shower on this lovely walk; taking in Wyville, Hungarton, Stroxton, Great Ponton and back through the grounds of Stoke Rochford Hall.

Stamford, the Torpel Way to Barnack and back along Ermine Street, the old Roman Road.

Sleaford Group led by Ian O, 16 walkers. We walked along the Torpel Way which goes to Peterborough paralleling the R Welland. Lunch was in Barnack Church then we crossed the Hills and Holes to Ermine Street and back through Burghley Park to Stamford. A great walk and it started…

A VERY windy walk! 💨💨 15 hardy (or foolish) souls braved the wind on my walk. The ground had dried out amazingly from last weeks’s recce so very little mud.
