... a slightly different excursion to Freiberg. For a long time I had planned to visit the mineral exhibition in Schloß🏰 Freudenstein in Freiberg, because I am a fan of minerals. Unfortunately we only managed to see the worldwide exhibition terra mineralia and not the German one. That is yet to come.
      terra-mineralia.de
This permanent exhibition is well worth seeing for fans. However, I personally lacked a profound, historical insight into the formation of the rocks and the comprehensive description of the use and importance of many types of rock. After all, who knows about the importance of many minerals for our digital world.
Nevertheless, I recommend a visit to the exhibition and the historic city of Freiberg for fans.
Coffee Hartmann is a particularly worthwhile visit for the connoisseurs among us. Already in the fourth generation, there are many different delicacies according to the Viennese pastry tradition and self-made pralines. 😋

... well, if the ☀️ ever appears, then you had to get out. It's like a law ... but a beautiful one
Just turn a quick round ... then it got a little further
We started a little too late, otherwise the Wedge Mountain would have been the goal, but the wind was freezing 🌬❄ and we would have come back as icicles. 🥶
In the valley and at the edges of the mountain high, there was also the hoarfrost from this morning

... the last day of hiking together took us back into the surrounding area. "First a lap on Oberjugel, then up to our Auersberg" and a hike around the Carlsfeld dam ... with a picnic and the barbecue concert "listen in the evening"

Stallion inheritance in the Bohemian region, where the former settlement of Seifen was located, is an old cuboid basalt quarry, with a coarse columnar structure, just looks like the organ pipes. And still only known to a few. 🤔
As a large nature reserve, with beautiful surroundings🏞, always worthwhile.👌 ... and one of my favorite places.😊

Stallion inheritance is not far from the Plattenberg and near Boži Dar and the mountains known there ... Klinoveć, Fichtelberg and Plessberg.⛰
From here you can also extend the round very well to the "Red Pit". Known for its rustic snack, the equally great surroundings and the typical Czech cuisine with home-baked cakes and other delicacies

I can also highly recommend the "Schafsgaststätte" below Hengstererbe. Friendly, rustic host and great food!
But what should I tell you ... you can try it out ... it's worth it! 👍
But please not all at once, then the nice quiet is over and we don't want that at all. 🤭😉

... the three crosses on the mountain in front of us looked a little mystical and mysterious.🤔 A narrow footpath winds up the mountain along the barrier to the three crosses. The meaning was initially unclear to us, as there is no description on site.
But now we know: According to a legend, the Three Crosses were erected out of gratitude by three brothers after overcoming a serious illness. Whether this is the truth ... Who knows? Unfortunately it remains hidden from us🤷🏻‍♀️ ... the three brothers took that with them to the grave 🙂
      thebackpacker.de/drei-kreuze-kaiserwald
Below the mystical crosses there is again a beautiful high moor to visit ... and in spring you will certainly find a lot of rare plants and animals there. 😊

That a trip to the Czech Republic is always worthwhile was proven again today when we were in Kladska, a part of Marienbad. 🥰
The place is located on the road from Lázně Kynžvart to Prameny at an altitude of 815 meters. The small village, built in the Swiss-Tyrolean style, is dominated by the hunting lodge of Prince Schönburg -Waldenburg. This is a hotel today. 🏨
The village is surrounded by a beautiful nature reserve, deep forests 🌲 and creepy moors👻
The nature trails are lovingly designed and equipped with historically very interesting display boards
We found the ☀️en🕗 particularly interesting ... which probably only works when the sun is shining. So we didn't manage to read the time ... 🤷‍♀️🤣

      ...
Unfortunately, Komoot did not correctly record the kilometer information for our lap - it was 5 km🤭 in total
