At Castello, we were 40 km from Venice. The weather was very bad, no visibility with heavy rain; thunder and lightning. Bike parking in Venice sold out, so we left the bikes here and travelled the last 40 km to Venice by car.

Bassano del Grappa lives up to its name- at the historic covered bridge, the drink at 10 am was grappa, several customers in the bar. Nearest coffee was 2 blocks away.
