Saw many dragonflies in all sorts of colors. And also blooming broad-leaved marsh orchid.

Young coots were fed by their parents.
And the squirrel showed us how it picks and enjoys cherries. 🐿️

There were many young great tits to be heard in the trees. We also saw a group of cresties, a nuthatch with acrobatic feats, a Eurasian jay and other chirping winged friends.
And also a little horse that would have preferred to be a zebra 😀

We saw several treecreepers, dragonflies, and also from the viewing tower a pair of swans with 1 young. 🦢🦢
Last time, on the picnic table at the spot of the sign "keep nature clean, take your rubbish with you" there were a few plastic bottles and some other empty packaging. Clearly done on purpose

The young grey geese we saw last time had already grown considerably.
The Canada geese, coots, and grebes also had young with them.
And the stork was still sitting on its nest.

Because a grebe sounded the alarm when a heron flew over her, we saw that a little further away another grebe was sitting with at least 4 young grebes. Unfortunately, they were a bit too far away to take a nice photo of the "zebra"-striped young grebes.

The path along the Asbeek is regularly too wet and really muddy to follow.
Especially the section at the Asbeek outflow.

The dragonflies flew at lightning speed. Too fast to be able to take a picture. Until one suddenly stayed on my hand.
There were many common blues, which apparently like minerals from horse manure.
