In realtà il dislivello è di circa 1200 m. Abbandonato il sentiero per il Losetta, si prosegue per un sentiero incerto fino a perderlo del tutto. Si sale poi verso il colle Ruine alla sinistra della punta costeggiando un piccolo torrente. Vista spettacolare sul Monviso.
