Bright's Grove lakeshore walk B

The overall Brights Grove walk has been interrupted by lakeshore restoration construction. Nice walk, stop at Skeeters for a drink/meal or walk up to the chip truck for an easy snack! Enjoy the lake view. It's beautiful.

TransCanada Trail-Rotary Central Hub to Chrysler Greenway start

In Windsor, Ontario. Exposed to sun, few shady spots, not good for hot days. Also a great biking route. Well maintained and used pathway. Crushed limestone about 3 m wide, a trail in either direction, easy for bikes to pass.

Great beach, great walk, wear a lot of sunscreen! There are 4 access/ parking areas along the beach. At least two, those at either end, have portable toilets.
See comments with photo of portion that allows vehicles; bleh.

North Lakeshore Trail, Mitchell's Bay

Great trail. Very little shade so not good for a hot day. Amazing for birders. We saw herons, purple martins, swallows, and a downy woodpecker feeding babies in its nest. Many red winged blackbirds.
Trail is packed gravel and easy to walk, bike or push a stroller along it.

Perch Creek Habitat Management Area

Long pants, a long sleeved shirt and tick repellent are strongly recommended.

Initially the trails are well groomed but as one gets deeper into the woods the grass gets longer. The pathway is mostly 2 m or more wide. Some branch paths look like deer trails and are very narrow.…

Prairie Mountain trail, Kananaskis Provincial Park

This is a tough hike; there and back, not a loop. The trail continuously goes up but the views are amazing. Expect to get a good cardio workout and be prepared for cool winds at the top. The trail is rocky but well marked and easy to follow. It is…

Wolseley and Wellington Loop

An easy hike along the South and North sides of a section of the Assiniboine River in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Beautiful views of Assiniboine park, the old surrounding neighborhoods and some small green spaces in between.
Walking westward, the breeze was very cold but towards the East the temperatures were fantastic!

Taipiti Ridge – Baruch's Corner loop from Bragg Creek

Hike was awesome. Trail is well kept and well used by cyclists, cow herds and cowboys. Watch out for cyclists without a bell!
We chose this hike to keep away from the 40 km /hr wind gusts and it did just that!
It was a little wet due to the…
