Today we really took it easy: first we watched the locks in Drakenburg, then we wanted to take the ferry at Scheringen (but we would have had to wait 55 minutes for the ferryman there) so we cycled leisurely on to Hoya. From there we cycled over the Weser weir through beautiful avenues of apple and pear trees to Verden.

Since it rained yesterday, we went back to Rinteln this morning to see at least a little of the town. Then we decided not to cycle the entire Weser loop, but to take the shortcut through the beautiful Weserbergland and then rejoin the Weser cycle path at Porta Westfalica.

7th and final stage of our cycling holiday. We once again enjoyed the beautiful landscape along the Weser in wonderful cycling weather. Now we will explore a bit of the city of Bremen (on foot, though) and then we will head back home.
