Back on the road after more than three weeks of taking it easy… a bit of a rough start 😅



I definitely pushed myself too hard at the beginning and had to cut the ride short: completely drained. Bad cramps in my quads (probably dehydration), which made the last climb really tough 🥴



The rest was well worth

A walk in the snow during my lunch break. It's rare that the snow sticks so well. Sunshine like this right after a snowfall is pretty magical (except when you're stuck on the road like yesterday 😵).

First short mountain bike ride of the year on trails and small roads, sometimes covered in snow. ❄️⛄



A bit of mud, a bike path, a radiant sky, crisp air, and glorious sunshine. 🌞

Last ride of the year. Mountain biking, but on the road! 😅



A short ride, but I set off late, so I had to brave the cold night air again. This time my hands survived, but not my toes. 🥶😅

A truly intense and rather awful ride towards the end.



My plan was to enjoy the sun, then the twilight and night. Very bad idea! 🙄



The ride started peacefully, beautiful light, a magnificent sky, bright sunshine. 🌞🤗



Then a kind of icy wind picked up near Bouafles/Vézillon... And it intensified on the

A short hike in Vernon, a detour to the shops. Grey skies, freezing cold, low motivation. 🫩😮‍💨😰



A lovely walk nonetheless, a short but fairly steep descent through the forest towards the end, so wear good shoes. 🤗



Not long enough to work off all the chocolate, but enough for my Polar goal... 😅

A leisurely ride to Vézillon. I'd already done it on my gravel bike. Since it's being repaired, I used my mountain bike, with a few detours through fields and the forest.



Overcast, but not too cold and no rain. ☁️☁️☁️



Lots of mud, so I didn't stick to many trails, but I still ended up filthy. 😮‍💨

A tough ride at the beginning and really tough at the end: it was freezing cold at the start, and I didn't have enough energy at the end... 😰



Despite everything, the light and sky were magnificent in the middle of the ride, and the roads were lovely and quiet. 🤗



No problems with the TQ engine

Not up for gravel biking, so I went for a short hike instead.



A lovely walk between Vernon and Giverny, passing by the hills overlooking the valley. A nice climb through the forest, then a descent back to the town with a magnificent view. 🤗

Not feeling very motivated this weekend with the rain. I cancelled my gravel ride yesterday. And today the gym is closed, so I opted for a nice, easy hike in the drizzle and grey skies. 😯🌧️



A pleasant little route, passing along the banks of the Seine and then through the forest in the hills above Vernon
