Up & Over Buchenwald x2
Easier Zone 3 ride. I tried to keep my HR at around 130bpm. Great recovery ride after Tuesday. Lovely way to finish the week. Max speed was fun!

Rennsteig Ride Race route
2 laps of the MTB course. Quite technical in parts & there is never any flat/rest time. Difficult to eat & drink. Race in 4 weeks. Very hot & not much power by the end!

South Weimar+ Buchenwald Memorial
Lots of fun. Nice coffee in Kranichfeld eis shop. Good to be back in those Thuringen forests ja! Only the last climb from Gabendorf to the memorial was painful!

Ax les Thermes Ski station
Over Col de Pailheres. Somehow managed to get mixed into a race, so my ascent was a PB. Cafè in Ax & then up to Station du Ski (mostly). Returned to Ax market for food & café. Returned to Quillan via Camurac. Hot & well managed.

Tour de France Stage 4 route
My mini tour route the day before it happens. All the camper vans, tents & fans already set up along the way. Lots of cheering as I made it up Col de Montségur. Many riders out as well. Between 38° & 40°. 6 bottles & still finished thirsty. The pros…

East Aude / Corbières
Started with a westerly wind cruising at 53kph. Gorge de Galamus was amazing. Then into Corbières & up to Auriac for a quick coffee. Down to Les Fontaines des Amours. Warm, windy & nice to try some new quiet roads.
