The day all my Christmas wishes came true! It was without a doubt the best afternoon up a Lancashire hill I've ever had - the pictures say it all!

A pre-Christmas sunrise outing with an unexpected dusting of snow and a beautiful golden glow before a cloudy day. Pendle delivers once more!

We did this route for sunrise as we wanted to avoid Sharp Edge and what a morning! It's a beautiful sunrise spot! It's pretty steep from the get go but that also means you can reach the summit within approx. 90 minutes.
Note: we parked up in the layby on the A6 near Scales. If you're parking in the dark

One of my favourite hikes in the Lakes. This route took me past the old copper mines, the tarn of Low Water and onto the summit of the Old Man of Coniston. Great views over the surrounding fells on a clear day. I also decided to add on Brim Fell which was a 15 minute detour and worth adding on if you

An autumn walk & catch up around one of my favourite local strolls - the majority of the path around the reservoir is flat and relatively wide and is therefore popular with families (have seen people pushing prams around over the years).
A good walk for every season and one I'd highly recommend!

A beautiful woodland walk, particularly in Autumn, and a great circular hike in the Peak District which takes you through the Longshaw Estate, the stunning woodland of Padley Gorge and over one of the iconic rocky outcrops the Peak District has to offer, Owler Tor. One of the highlights for me was the

We took the gondola up from Vigo Da Fassa to Ciampedie and followed the signs for Rifugio Gardeccia, Rifugio Vajolet before heading up the scramble to Rifugio De Alberto. If you're a competent hiker who has some experience scrambling, this section is relatively straightforward in good weather conditions

We took the gondola from Ortisei to Alpe di Siusi and headed out on this 18km hike to explore the largest high alpine pasture in Europe and what a day! Beautiful views, a great refuge for a lunch stop and an unexpected amount of fun exploring the witch woodland (aka a play area made from wood).

The first mountain day of 2025 did not disappoint! We parked up at Old Dungeon Ghyll in the NT car park and headed up to Harrison Stickle via Stickle Tarn. On a clear day, like it was today, you get 360 degree views of the surrounding fells! A stunning mountain.
