Enjoyed this one. Tracks up by Pont are excellent. Lost tracking before the end.

It's always nice to find a good variation on well worn paths.

Excellent stomp through the snow up on blanchland moor. This was a fun route and pretty much cycleable. The road up would be a particularly nice path up onto the top by bike.

Last ride of the year! A good winter route, all tarmac or packed railway path. The hills at the start are a bit killer and I was into the wind for the way back up the valley. This takes me to 721 miles this year!

Even when not actually raining and thermals up! Doesn't help that I've not been out for a month. Fitness seems to leave much faster than it builds!

@Duncan I beat the rain today by going out for a walk to Killingworth early this morning.

Quick new route round familiar paths. The main path through the havannah reserve is very closed. So had to re route and double back.

This was fun, wet, a slog and a delight. Long climb up to some great views, rough rocky tracks. Lovely autumn weather to start then very menacing clouds rolled in, only got a bit rained on. Rougher tracks then I anticipated for pretty much the whole route and the tracks down saley forest were a mud pit. But the last bit down to the river is brilliant. The footpath that dips between the tops was a bit of a grassy muddy struggle. Might avoid that in future, but all in all a nice route, particularly as wet as it is!

One of the best routes I've put together. Phone died a couple of miles from the end but you'll get the idea. Apart from a couple of grassy field slogs down by the river this was really fun riding. Pretty much all off road. Would be even more enjoyable on a warm day and with more stamina for climbs (walked a fair chunk of physic lane). Mostly brilliant gravel, some more rocky bits, some small single track and one short bit, on the zig zag up the simonside hills, which I couldn't cycle at all. Cracking views and some amazing descents.

Quick bimble on account of me forgetting to bring lights! So had to get back before some car failed to see me. Lovely sunset though!

Finally did this route as planned. Excellent. Almost all off road and some great tracks, could be made pretty much all off road of you can back via the byways round callerton. Also pretty pleased with the time, those last two miles always suck though 🤣
