Red hot weather, took a wrong turn off Barbers Lane but soon corrected, called for a pint George & Dragon in Great Budworth, another bucket list tick (only been going past for 43 years) through Tatton Park to Grappenhall, had a pint in Bell House, took wrong turn on Parkside…

Once in the lanes I enjoyed the ride, the little cobbled street at Stockton Heath with two pubs and a church is quaint. Through Tatton park which is free to cyclists. Farm club cafe at Pickmere if you need it, Few little wrong turns en route but nothing drastic.

Liverpool Docks via Aintree
Strong W headwind going out, warm and sunny. Enjoyed the ride but broke a spoke in back wheel on way back. Lots of work going on down the docks, great to see regeneration of a great city.

Smithy Bridge, Hebden Bridge Cragg Vale back to Pemberton
Bit of a recce this one. Very windy over tops and came back via main road due to time, very busy. Next time I'll come back over Ashworth and Rivington to avoid traffic, all be it hillier. Great views off Blackstone edge road in the sun.
