We came to Cwmllwyd Getaways for my partner's 40th & swiftly headed down the road to Carno to start this hike it said 6.5 mile but we wanted a focal point to remember (as we aren't from the area) so we chose the Aleppo Inn to start from which bumped our walk to the 7.6 mile mark.

I've nothing bad to say about this walk all in all it was 13 mile & the views at the Welcome Bench & the walk across Lyth Hill are absolutely worth it with views of The Wrekin.
If I was to nitpick I'd say some of the routes around Hook A Gate were hard to find (and I'm quite thorough)Likewise when going

This is a fantastic walk if you love long walks through woodland areas (which I do) this hike does take you higher up but it's all worth it with the views from Haughmond Hill a highlight then you make the slow decent back and loop around to the Abbey ruins. Take plenty of water. By far my favourite hike yet.

A nice family walk which is pretty much all accessible with a pram in tow, we only had to lift the pram down a few steps but once that was done we could enjoy a picnic & nice chilled walk beside the river seven.

Went on this hike with my stepson (8 yrs old) we took the walk from home to the train station to start this walk all in all it was about 10 mile, once to get from town you're pretty much walking through farm fields & off road tracks which isn't necessarily a bad thing however if you're following this

One of the best walks around Shrewsbury I've been on so far lots of woodland off road tracks so if this is something you love then definitely give this walk a go.
