The route between Rainham and London was not recommendable, except for the last approx. 20 km, when a cycle path led us directly along the Thames (even with a free river crossing). Otherwise, the path mostly led directly along the motorway. It's a miracle we didn't get a flat tire with all the broken glass.

1. Antwerp - Ghent
here we rode on the F (Fietssnelweg) 4, which connects the two cities
2. Ghent - Deinze
Until Deinze we took the F7, which leads from Ghent to Kortrijk.
Both routes were great to ride and very well signposted.

Beautiful route through the Ruhr area, mostly on disused railway tracks, lots of forest. The only section we didn't like led along Derner Straße north of Dortmund.
